Left eye optic static  morning
through wet pines shines  full
of sugar & fervent listening
to rockets from the speakers
we were like sticks of dynamite
like trousers like brain  bent
at permanent angles  yesterday’s papers
scrawled in ice cream.

The piano has the sound of the town.
Car tears dry in the windscreen sun.
